Gold is the main currency in Prize Kingdoms. Your citizens won’t do anything unless you pay them in cold, hard gold. Little do they realize that you’ll end up collecting that gold right back in the form of a few light/heavy taxes. You can spend gold to upgrade your districts, which increases your population. A higher population means…more tax revenue! Your Octo citizens get a nicer place to live and play, and you get some nice fat piles of gold. It’s a win-win!

Here are some ways to earn gold in Prize Kingdoms:

Roll the Dice: Every time you move past a tile on your board you’ll earn gold.

Events: In-game events often reward big prizes including dice, gold, and gems! The further you get in an event, the more free gold you’ll earn!

Attack: By spending fuel or landing on your Zeppelin tile you’ll initiate an attack. When you attack other players you can earn lots of gold by damaging, destroying, pillaging, or claiming their districts. The biggest payoff though comes from smashing someone’s Piggy Bank!

Portal Tile: Land on your portal tile and you’ll be transported to another board where you can earn lots of gold.

Hidden Paths:  Land on the side path tile and you’ll be transported to another section of the board where you can earn lots of gold.

Bonus Royale: Fill up your Bonus Royale meter at the top of your board to activate the Bonus Royale mode! In this mode, prizes will rain down from the heavens and you’ll get ten rolls to collect as much loot as you can! A great way to earn gold! Be careful because the Bonus Royale timer resets every 24 hours. Make sure you get those rolls in when the meter is full before time runs out!
